2018: Announcement

At the beginning of October, 2018 the SAP company provided the Bring Your Own Node service intended for simplification of process of integration between a blockchain systems. The announcement took place within the TechEd 2018 conference in Las Vegas.

In the press release of SAP it is reported that Bring Your Own Node will allow clients and partners to integrate different a blockchain infrastructure with minimum costs. Besides, the solution will support interaction between the provided SAP systems and components located in local infrastructure or in different clouds.

SAP also promotes compatibility of the applications using a blockchain and business processes of SAP with the external managed nodes and networks, providing equal functionality irrespective of their environment" — the producer notes.

Besides, clients can use service how to follow requirements of a certain region and rules of state regulation and also requirements to the equipment and performance. Bring Your Own Node became available kliyentav right after the announcement.

Along with Bring Your Own Node the SAP company announced two industry consortia for the purpose of support and development of the innovations connected with use of a blockchain in the different markets. One of the organizations is focused on pharmaceutics and medicobiological sciences, and another — on application of a blockchain in agrobusiness, retail and in the market of consumer goods.^[1]

Consortia will include clients, partners of SAP and other interested companies which through joint efforts will develop scenarios of use of a blockchain and will define opportunities for cross-industry cooperation. The main idea of initiatives will take place in improving transparency and efficiency of use of a blockchain, noted in SAP.
