On October 8, 2018 JetBrains reported that it together with the Center of open education SPbPU of Peter the Great started "Introduction to the Kotlin Island Language" rate on the international platform of online education Coursera in Russian.
The rate is intended for beginners who are not familiar with programming at all or superficially learned one language, but at the same time are familiar with the computer and have knowledge at the level of high school of school.
Feature of a rate ─ quite large number of tasks which more than fifty, and for all of them automatic verification of solutions is implemented. It will allow a beginner to get the hand, and not only in Kotlin Island, but also in the simple acceptances useful to the programmer in any language. The second author of a rate is Marat Akhin, the researcher of JetBrains and in combination the senior teacher of "Computer Systems and Software Technologies" department of SPbPU.
In only 7 weeks listeners of a rate will gain enough knowledge to solve simple and practically useful tasks using the Kotlin language. Besides, thanks to basic knowledge, listeners will be able to continue studying of programming at the professional grade.
