Orange Business Services and Global Eagle will provide communication onboard the Air France airplanes

On October 11, 2018 the Orange Business Services company reported that together with the leading supplier of technological solutions in the aviation industry of Global Eagle signed the long-term contract with Air France airline on provision of services of communication and installation of the satellite systems of Internet connection by 113 airplanes of the Airbus A320 family. According to representatives of Orange Business Services company, company already started implementation of systems onboard airline.
A318, A319, A320 and A321 models performing runs of near and average range across Europe to Russia, to North Africa and to the Middle East are among airplanes of the Airbus A320 family. Within partnership of Global Eagle and Orange Business Services will provide the high-speed Internet, an opportunity for passengers to request services on the portal with a user-friendly interface and the integrated billing. A system will also allow to analyze information on travelers that will help to improve models of customer interaction.
| Provision of services of communication during flight will allow Air France to raise the interoperability layer with clients and to take a big step in the direction of digital transformation. Network services will be constructed on the equipment Global Eagle including infrastructure of Jupiter HT modems with capacity of 500 Mbps for each airplane and the three-axial antenna of Ku-range from Global Eagle.
