The administration of Kirovsk of Murmansk region updated EDMS

2018: Upgrade of EDMS DocsVision

On September 28, 2018 "Digital Design" announced what City administration of Kirovsk of Murmansk region upgraded electronic document management system (EDMS) based on Docsvision. The Digital Design IT company acted as the contractor of the project.

For several years of EDMS Docsvision served for the staff of Administration as storage system and document registrations, and approval happened by a traditional method – by signing of a paper document type, process could occupy a progressive tense, and it was difficult to be controlled. For optimization of work of local government authorities of the city of Kirovsk the decision to automate processes of approval and signing of documents in EDMS Docsvision was made.

Within the project specialists of Digital Design IT company updated the platform of a system to the current version of Docsvision 5.4 as it has broader tool kit and is designed under the growing needs for volumes of the processed data and the number of the users involved in work, and already based on this platform implemented add-on functional modules.

The updated system allowed to automate all stages of approval of documents in electronic form, to provide transparency of process and to reduce time and material costs by project implementation, the documents requiring approval.

For September, 2018 in a system about 250 users work. According to the representative of Administration, to a system it is going to connect all municipal authorities of the city, respectively, the number of users will increase approximately up to 300.

For implementation of a uniform circuit of electronic interaction of local government authorities and municipal authorities the web client of EDMS Docsvision was implemented. It provides to users the maximum mobility, allowing to work in a system on the Internet from any point and from any device, besides such solution does not require big costs for implementation, administration and support of jobs, for upgrade and licensing of software for the certain participant of electronic document management.
