Alfa technologies created the system of antivirus protection of executive authorities of Stavropol Krai

On October 15, 2018 the company Axoft announced that system integrator ALFA technologies completed implementation of multi-layer system of centralization antivirus protection and protection mails of all executive authorities Stavropol Krai using solutions "Kaspersky Labs".

Before IT specialists of State governmental agency of Stavropol Krai "The edge center of information technologies" (GKU "CIT of SK") there was a problem of creation of multi-layer system of centralization of antivirus protection and protection of mail of all executive authorities of Stavropol Krai on single solution. Implementation was required in more than 20 ministries and other organizations of Stavropol Krai with the total number of jobs of 3.5 thousand nodes. The most considerable design entity – GKU "CIT of SK" for which it was necessary to implement the system of protection of electronic mailboxes on 1400 jobs.

As a result of the competitive procedure the ALFA technologies system integrator became the IT partner of the project. At a design stage specialists of GKU CIT of SK and ALFA technologies considered solutions of different antivirus software vendors. Internal testing of all considered products in the closed virtual infrastructure allowed to reveal the solution which is most corresponding to requirements of the organization for the following functionality:

• speed of operation of application;
• quality of search and elimination of the threats caused by virus software;
• impact of operation of application on the level of loading of the PC;
• existence of uniform command center and administration.

Products of the Russian developer – Kaspersky Lab met the aforesaid requirements. Existence of a possibility of convenient centralized operation by anti-virus infrastructure in territorially remote divisions, the functionality of monitoring, the notification and drawing up reports on different categories, reliability of the solution, first technical support, a domestic product became the main selection terms of the solution.

The Axoft company which assisted the partner at engineering characterization and selection of necessary option of licensing acted as the IT distributor of the project.

"The task was separated into two blocks – the centralized deployment of solutions in all workplaces of users and also deployment and setup of multi-layer system of management with head command center in GKU "CIT of SK". For these two blocks were selected Kaspersky Endpoint Security "Standard" and the solution on protection of mail "Kaspersky Security for mail servers"". One of advantages of a system of protection of mail servers – security of corporate information and personal data of employees and also observance of the security policy accepted in the organizations. The solution reveals financial, personal and other confidential information in outgoing letters and, carrying out the careful analysis, if necessary, blocks suspicious messages.

Process of implementation took place step by step. First of all, the centralized deployment of Kaspersky Endpoint Security at workstations and also the local server of administration of Kaspersky Security Center (KCS) was carried out. After all jobs were got on the KCS server, necessary security policies registered.

"At the first stage of implementation in some infrastructures of the organizations it was necessary to face difficulties: there was no centralized operation by domain infrastructure. At the second stage the local KCS server was connected to the head server of management as the subordinate that allowed to create multi-layer system of management with head command center in GKU "CIT of SK". All works within project implementation took about a month.

In addition to protection of workstations protection of file servers is provided. System implementation of protection of mail allowed to reduce time of employees for a daily routine on removal of spam arriving on mail servers of public institutions that, undoubtedly, positively influences work of employees in general".
