2018: Beginning of serial production

On October 16, 2018 the Rostec State corporation reported that the Avtomatika concern entering into State corporation began serial production of domestic high-end servers Elbrus-804. Devices are intended for creation of computing clusters, work with applications and databases.

Rostec began serial production of the Elbrus-804 servers

The server with a peak computing power of 920 gigaflops is created the Russian by developers and is produced century serially Russia Institute of electronic managing machines (INEUM) of I.S. Brook. In its basis – four 8-core processor "Elbrus-8C" the Russian development and domestic certified operating system "Elbrus" that guarantees lack of hidden "tabs" for theft of data and unauthorized intervention in operation of the equipment. Distinctive feature of the device is the technology of safe calculations which is built in Elbrus processors not having analogs. It excludes incorrect accesses of programs to data in memory which can lead to their damage and open opportunities for hacker attacks in the systems of other producers, emphasized in Rostec company.

Potential consumers of the Elbrus-804 servers, according to representatives of Rostec State corporation, are bodies of the state, regional and municipal authority, strategic industries, including the enterprises of power, housing and public utilities, air and railway transport, the banking sector and other industries where special security requirements of IT systems are imposed.

The Elbrus-804 server is the most high-end server based on Russian microprocessors "Elbrus". Ultimate computing power of the server is 460 gigaflops of double precision and 920 gigaflops of single precision. The device supports installation to 256 GB of RAM which all volume is available to each of 32 computing cores. Domestic controllers SATA of disks 3.0 and Gigabit are built in the server Ethernet. Basic operation system of the server is Elbrus OS – the Russian distribution kit Linux developed MCSTBasalt by JSC ". for the server also development of own operating systems by the companies is conducted "Rusbitech", "SVD the Built-in Systems".
