2018: Development of the device with AI which will allow "see" in the dark

On October 16, 2018 Rostec announced development which will allow the see cars the road in complete darkness.

The device with functions of artificial intelligence allows to move without light of headlights in the conditions of limited visibility and even in complete darkness. Serial deliveries of survey modules are going to begin since 2019.

The thermal imager, the built-in video camera of high resolution and also the gyrostabilized platform which provides the sharp image at the movement are a part of the device. The module can be also used on yachts and small size vessels.

Functions of artificial intelligence allow to identify the objects met on the way hidden in the dark, fog, smoke, forest vegetation, etc. For example, a system can identify in the field of vision animals, comparing their circuits with library of the digitized images. The module automatically accompanies an object while it is in sight of its watch facilities.

The device is based on developments of our enterprises for military aircraft. Similar examples show possibilities of a successful transfer of technologies from the military sphere in civil. The device has the small sizes and about 3 kg weigh that gives the chance to fix it on the body of the car or vessel by means of a magnet. The device can be controlled by means of the mobile device and be integrated to the regular multimedia systems.
