2018: System implementation
The European association of emergency numbers (European Emergency Number Association, EENA) which part the largest cities of Europe, including London, Paris, Milan and Munich are, implements the Corti AI system capable to analyze phone calls and on verbal in call centers of emergency services and nonverbal to signs to reveal myocardial infarction symptoms. In the middle of October, 2018 the VentureBeat edition reported about it.
Corti tests which were taking place in Copenhagen in 2014 showed that an AI system will recognize symptoms of heart attack rather, than it is done by call center operators. The AI algorithm Corti coped with a task 30 seconds faster, and the accuracy of its diagnosis reached 93% at 73% at managers people. If the heart attack happens out of walls of hospital, on the account every second, and the fastest arrival of ambulance crew is extremely important for rescue of life.
To simplify Corti implementation, the Danish startup of the same name developed the device under the name Orb with the built-in AI assistant. By the sizes the device is close to the smart column Google Home, but Orb received the body of white color and can serve also as lighting instrument. According to developers, such design will allow Orb to fit into an interior of services of the emergency help better. The single board computer Nvidia Jetson TX2 forms a hardware basis for the device.
Since August, 2018 the Orb device with the Corti AI system began to be used in Copenhagen, and now other European cities join the project. Further the American Seattle and Asian Singapore want to follow their example.
Corti developers expand not only geography of a scope, but also a range of tasks to which it is going to apply an AI system. In particular, the algorithm for detection of other cardiovascular diseases and strokes and also statuses at drug overdose is already created.[1]
