Orange Business Services will increase efficiency of the solutions Octo Telematics for smart car insurance in the countries of Europe

On October 18, 2018 the international service -provider Orange Business Services reported that together with solution provider for collecting and analytics data in the field of car insurance Octo Telematics announced expansion of the contract the next 3 years within which Octo will have an opportunity independently to manage own the park IoT- devices: monitor their work and in time to diagnose malfunctions. In addition also the speed of deployment of the connected solutions will increase.

Octo develops and supplies a full range of M2M-solutions for vehicles to the market: these are the systems of the automatic notification about accidents, the analysis on establishment of fault in road accident and the round-the-clock online support. The solutions Octo can be used by insurance companies for provision of services of smart car insurance, dynamically calculating the rate cost depending on accuracy of driving, both for individual car owners, and for corporate vehicle fleets. Octo for October, 2018 totals over 5.6 million connected users and 100 partners worldwide.

Managed service for seamless connection of telematic SIM cards in all territory of Europe will allow Octo Telematics to personalize services, to carry out the remote analysis of attached devices and also to reduce the total operating costs. The companies will have an opportunity to collect information and to carry out the analysis of insured events on the basis of accounting of behavior of the driver and circumstances of road incident. As a result insurance companies not only will increase risks assessment accuracy, but also will be able to work more effectively with claims, thereby improving customer relations.

In addition to seamless connection of IoT-devices by means of telematic SIM cards, Orange will provide the platform for automated management of them via the client portal. In addition Octo will get the round-the-clock support of IoT-experts of Orange and tools for flexible management by connections online.
