2018: Aster P Andriod-smartphone

On October 18, 2018 it became known that after bankruptcy and long absence the company Vertu presented at the market Android-smartphone Aster P with the chip of average output, elite finishing by precious metals and gemstones, and with the traditional elite price label in the range of $5-14 thousand.

The Vertu Aster P smartphone gathers in Great Britain manually, with a personal engraving of a name of the master. The model received the chassis from titanium alloy, protection of the display from 133-karat sapphire crystal, the button with a ruby and also finishing of the body from skin of a crocodile and a lizard. The most expensive version of the smartphone – Dazzling Gold, also received additional finishing from pure gold.

The Vertu Aster P smartphone is an improved version of the Vertu Aster model (on the Snapdragon 801 chip), being issued since 2014. Smartphone dimensions in the version with standard finishing make 149.8 x 71 x 10.1 mm, weight about 220 g.

CNews considers that possibilities of a hardware platform of Vertu Aster P are far from modern leaders of the market and more likely is closer to the equipment of smartphones of 2018 of an average and price segment.

Vertu Aster P received the 4.9-inch display on a matrix of AMOLED with permission of FHD and works under control of 8-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. The smartphone is also equipped with RAM of 6 GB, the drive of 128 GB and two slots under the nano cards SIM.

The photographic Vertu Aster P equipment includes the main camera with MT sensor 12 and frontal a selfie camera with MT sensor 20 and a lens with f/2.2 aperture.

The smartphone supports interfaces NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and 2-band Wi-Fi, is equipped with port USB- C. The built-in accumulator has the capacity of 3200 mAh and supports technology of fast charging of Quick Charge 3.0.

The Vertu Aster P smartphone will be delivered from preset operating system Android 8.1 Oreo.

As reported in CNews, the ruby button on the body of the smartphone is intended for exclusive the concierge service of the owner of 24/7 phone and also for conversations with those who manually assembled the smartphone. In addition, Vertu is also going to invite owners of smartphones to actions with access "only by invitations".

For October, 2018 the Aster P smartphone is available in shades of Ink Black, "white" "White" and Dazzling Gold. Black and white versions of the smartphone are available in China at the price from 35.8 thousand yuans (about $5.17 thousand), the version of Dazzling Gold with gold finishing is estimated at 98 thousand yuans (about $14.15 thousand). Deliveries of smartphones will begin on October 30, 2018.

Later the Vertu Aster P smartphone will appear in special "baroque version" in blue (Blue), twilight-orange (Twilight Orange) and caramel-orange (Caramel Brown) flowers of finishing. Terms of the beginning of sales of these smartphones and their price are not known yet.^[1]
