2018: Announcement of the joint solution

The companies Huawei Siemens presented also on October 26, 2018 the joint solution Manufacturing Cloud Desktop (cloud automated workplaces for production) based on the software Siemens NX and Huawei FusionAccess the Desktop Cloud platform. According to the statement of developers, the solution provides the raised security level, stability, flexibility and profitability, contributing to the development of "smart" production and Industries 4.0.

The joint solution of Huawei and Siemens uses possibilities of software of Siemens NX from Siemens PLM Software in combination with Huawei FusionAccess Desktop Cloud that provides flexible and cost-efficient access to jobs with the raised security level of applications and data.

NX12, software version of NX, relevant for October 26, from Siemens PLM Software is the solution of the next generation for design helping the enterprises to realize the potential of digital doubles throughout all product development process. The solution integrates electrical, mechanical and managing systems due to close interaction with Mentor Graphics Capital Harness and Xpedition. Thanks to Convergent Modeling technology it allows designers to integrate freely geometrical elements with a difficult configuration of edges. The platform also integrates design optimization, creation of difficult geometrical elements and tools of parametrical design and design of free forms, thereby bringing closer real use of generative design in the industry, explained in Siemens.

NX software also offers advanced methods of design for additive manufacturing, including an opportunity to add a grid. Thanks to Convergent Modeling designers can use directly many-sided geometrical elements as mesh space constructions to avoid long process of conversion of geometrical data.

In turn, cloud workstations on the basis of Huawei FusionAccess 6.2 is a solution for virtualization of jobs with the high-performance graphical user interface for corporate administrators which allows to select, service and turn off access to virtual work places quickly. It allows to manage flexibly virtual resources, to optimize their use and to cut down operating expenses (OPEX). End users get cross-platform access to applications and jobs from thin clients and other devices connected to network. All data are in a cloud that provides flexible access at simultaneous security and reliability of the stored data, claim in Huawei.

Integration testing of the solution on design of products of Siemens NX Software and Huawei FusionAccess Desktop Cloud was held. Huawei provided a cloud platform of virtualization and virtual work places. The protocol of Huawei Desktop Protocol (HDP) provides data transmission at narrow band of transmission between the terminal unit and a cloud at simultaneous providing a high image quality on virtual work places. The NX software package smoothly works in the environment of virtual workstations, providing the user experience similar to use of physical workstations.
