FlexiPai (smartphone)

2018: Announcement

At the end of October, 2018 the first-ever bent smartphone was provided. The model under the name FlexiPai was developed by Rouyu Technology company.

Innovation received 7.8-inch AMOLED display which can be put in half then the screen with diagonal about 4 inches turns out.

In the spread-out status the gadget is similar to the compact tablet and has thickness of 7.6 mm. In the put status thickness is 15.2 mm. The hinge, according to developers, maintains not less than 200 thousand  cycles of opening closing.

Phone works under the administration of the corporate water OS platform built based on the Android operating system. The firmware adapts to size variation of the display and supports work with two displays. For example, in the put status on one party one application, and on the second — another can be started. Besides, the smartphone can be put on a table in the form of "tent" to watch video or to start the mode of the "smart" screen.

Podstat technical characteristics to the modern smartphone. In it the single-crystal RAM Gbyte Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150, 6 or 8 system, the double camera behind are applied (one sensor 16-megapixel, other 20-megapixel; the auxiliary module is completed with a telephoto a lens) and technology of fast charging Ro-Charge allowing to load in one hour a battery battery room to 80%.

Capacity built in a flash drive can be 128, 256 or 512 Gbytes depending on modification.

The producer already began to take orders for the flexible smartphone. The beginning of deliveries of a product is planned December, 2018. FlexiPai is estimated at 9 thousand yuans (about $1291 at the rate of for November 1, 2018). Rouyu Technology is going to sell a product not only in China, but also in Europe and North America.^[1]
