Jungheinrich summed up the intermediate results of construction of a warehouse automatic machine of IKEA in Esipovo

On November 8, 2018 the Jungheinrich concern announced completion of works on construction of the automated distributor center IKEA in Esipovo with the expected capacity of storage of 210000 pallets.

The Jungheinrich concern acted as logistic integrator of the project on the expansion of the IKEA distributor center (DC) in Esipovo, the Moscow region begun in 2016. For November, 2018 all-construction and engineering works on the automated section of the third queue of DTs are fully completed, balancing and commissioning is carried out. Input of a warehouse automatic machine in operation is planned for December, 2018. The general logistic height of storage in a warehouse is 45 meters. Depth of ranks of racks – 200 meters. Width of storage reaches 130 meters. Thus, the total area of storage of a warehouse automatic machine is approximately equal to the area of 4 football fields, noted in Jungheinrich.

High-intensity processing of goods is performed using automatic cranes pilers with a double depth of storage. As a result, transactions of loading and extraction of goods from storage locations, by estimates of IKEA, will take no more than 2 minutes. The warehouse is intended for storage to 20 different types of tovaronositel. At the same time maximum capacity on the transactions "input exit" of goods per hour is reached.

According to the Jungheinrich project, a constructional basis of the building of the automated warehouse is the rack equipment calculated not only on storage of goods, but also on wind and snow loads on the building. The similar design approach and to construction provided a high integration scale of works of Jungheinrich concern and the general contractor of the project in the field of all-construction works – federal development company of A Plus Development. Effective interaction of the companies acted as a strong basis for successful project implementation and an adherence to deadlines.

In addition to construction of the automated warehouse project implementation of the DTs expansion provided creation of traditional storage areas with standard technologies for completing of goods in Esipovo. For ensuring logistic communication of a warehouse zone with production facilities of IKEA which are also located in Esipovo underground tunnels are organized. All-construction and engineering works in a traditional part of a warehouse and peripheral buildings, according to A Plus Development, for November, 2018 are complete for 90%. Road construction and the general works on improvement of the territory is conducted.
