On November 13, 2018 the Rostelecom company reported that it connected service Video surveillance of the North Ossetian to the State University (NOSU). According to the company, within the contract specialists of the company installed 127 video cameras in academic buildings and in the adjacent territory of higher education institution and integrated them in a single network. For preserving of videos a system has Internet connection and is integrated into the corresponding cloud service of provider. At the same time the communication channel between infrastructure and a cloud server is protected from DDoS of the attacks and interception of a video flow.

Video surveillance for 2018 is Basic Element of a modern end-to-end system of security for a real estate. The video flow from the device of the user is transferred in coded form and stored in data processing centers.

The university conducts vigorous international activity, forums and conferences for which modern and reliable digital services are necessary are often held here. Therefore we implement a number of projects on improvement of our technology infrastructure together with Rostelecom.

The service for legal entities is provided based on cloud computing therefore are excluded purchase costs and support of servers, video recorders, licenses and personnel. Video surveillance is conducted by means of IP cameras in real time, such options as record, viewing archive, export in user-friendly formats are available. It is possible to monitor broadcasting from cameras far off on the smartphone, the computer and other mobile devices from any place in the world where there is an Internet.
