Acumos AI (the platform for start of AI systems)

Product
Developers: Linux Foundation
Date of the premiere of the system: November, 2018
Branches: Information technologies

On November 14, 2018 the LF Deep Learning Foundation organization entering Linux Foundation announced a release of the platform with |the open code for training and implementation of artificial intelligence — Acumos AI.

Work on Acumos AI which first version has the code name Athena began in March, 2018. About 75 developers participated in its creation, reported the VentureBeat edition in LF Deep Learning Foundation.

Released Linux Foundation the platform for fast deployment of AI systems — Acumos AI

Acumos AI simplifies assembly, sharing and deployment of AI-applications. Main features of the first version:

  • deployment of the platform using the containers Docker or Kubernetes in one click;
  • an opportunity to unroll AI models in public or private cloud infrastructure or in the environment of Kubernetes on the user's equipment, including servers and virtual machines;
  • use of security-tokens for simplification of adding of new models from external sources directly in Acumos AI storage;
  • the graphical user interface (UI) for consolidation of several AI models with tool kit for data translation, filtering, etc.

Acumos works with AI the models created using TensorFlow, scikit-learn and H20.ai.

For community Acumos AI the AI Marketplace directory for the purpose of sharing and loading of AI models will be created. For initial filling of Marketplace at the beginning of 2018 the competition to prize fund in the amount of $100,000 which winners created the systems of artificial intelligence was held.

Exit of the next version of Acumos is planned for the middle of 2019. It will also include updates for developers of models closed source (closed-source).

The LF Deep Learning Foundation fund created in March, 2018 supports the OpenSource-projects connected with machine learning, deep learning and AI. Among founders there are Tencent fund, Baidu, Huawei, ZTE, AT&T and Nokia.[1][2]
