As it became known on November 14, 2018, the La Roche-Posay company is the cosmetic brand belonging to L'Oreal concern — developed the wearable device which is capable to monitor impact of an ultraviolet light on skin. The device received the name My Skin Track UV.

In addition to basic function, the miniature device has also a number of additional. For example, an opportunity to notify on the level of humidity, pollution and even pollen in air in that area where there is a user. However these data come from appropriate resources in Network. At the same time, the device can store data on influence of UV-radiation that gives the chance to monitor this indicator and to compare its values eventually. My Skin Track UV will also offer the owner the personalized recommendations about improvement of skills of care of skin.

The device does not require a power supply, the sensor is activated by sunlight. Complete with the device there is also mobile application for iOS, and for data transmission on the smartphone the NFC technology is used. Besides, according to the statement of the producer, the device is waterproof.

My Skin Track UV at the same time is very compact (1.35x3.3x1.26 cm): the device can be clung both on clothes, and on accessories. The weight of the device is only 17 grams.^[1]
