GE Healthcare will take part in projects on digitalization of a health care system of Kazakhstan

On November 15, 2018 it became known that GE Healthcare and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed the memorandum of strategic partnership in the field of upgrade and development of a health care system of Kazakhstan.

The memorandum defines the main directions of joint activities for the projects concerning development of the unified information system in the field of health care using digital GE Healthcare technologies. According to the document, the parties agreed to carry out the analysis of opportunities for creation of republican clinical archive and also the expert telemedicine centers on teleradiology, a teleonkoradiologiya and screening of a breast cancer directed to increase in accuracy of diagnostics, early detectability and efficiency of treatment of socially important diseases.

The agreement also assumes implementation of a pilot project using the digital solutions GE Healthcare on the organization of the telemedicine center based on RGP on PHV "Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology" of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It will allow doctors of regional oncology dispensaries to get additional remote advice of specialists at diagnostics of complex cases in oncology.

Besides, it is planned that GE Healthcare will give information and consulting support in formation regional vendor - neutral archives and the organization of electronic document management.

The document was signed by the vice-Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Abishev and the vice president of GE Healthcare Digital in Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS Dietmar Sejfridsberger.
