In BCS Global Markets the Calypso system is implemented

On November 20, 2018 Calypso Technology, the supplier of technological solutions from the front office to a back office for financial markets, announced implementation of the software in the BCS Global Markets company which is broker and investment banking division of the Russian BKS Financial Group.

BCS Global Markets selected the Calypso platform because of capability of a system to perform continuous end-to-end processing of different products and an opportunity to replace the existing systems. A system increases automation of internal operational processes of BCS Global Markets, having laid the foundation for the existing and future IT of infrastructure.

The decision on upgrade of a back office system was caused in high gear growth of our business which required implementation of difficult solutions for our clients and expansion of the range of the offered products, and it means updating of business processes, emergence of additional functions of control and compliance koplayns to requirements. For November, 2018 BCS Global Markets processes more than two million transactions a day by all types to products on which calculation for transactions and their confirmation, approval of calculations and also the client, normative, internal and management reporting which using Calypso were completely adapted to the current business requirements is performed. All developments in BKS were executed by internal forces. Validation of final adjustment of a configuration was carried out by independent check of working capacity as on technical, and productive aspects with involvement of consultants of Calypso. Results confirmed correct setup and qualitative system implementation.

We are very glad that BCS Global Markets successfully implemented the solution of Calypso for all transactions in a back office. Russia and the CIS countries are strategic for Calypso company, and we will continue to invest in these regions for the purpose of providing solutions which integrate in themselves market practice of the international standard taking into account local features.
