2018: The release of the drones washing windows of skyscrapers is 20 times faster than industrial climbers
In November, 2018 it became known that in Britain are going to begin to use drones for washing of skyscrapers and fire fighting. The Aerones company located in San Francisco and which is engaged in release of unmanned aerial vehicles stated that it received the purchase order of devices from the London partners after major fire in Grenfell Tower in June, 2017.
Aerones will deliver the model equipped with 12 rotors, hoses and sponges which can wash up the high building 20 times faster than industrial climbers. Width of the device is 3 meters, weight - 55 kg. The hose for water supply is connected to the drone, and a power supply is performed at the expense of a cable from the generator which is on the earth. Also on it it is possible to fix safety ropes from a building roof to prevent falling. The operator controls and removes that he does the drone, using cameras of high definition.
Representatives of the company also say that UAVs can be used for fire fighting in high buildings. The drone can reach upper floors of skyscrapers and places where it is difficult for person to get. Besides, the unmanned aerial vehicle can be used for cleaning and painting of wind turbines.
The company which also has offices in Riga, is generally concentrated on production of big drones which can lift loads to 200 kg. Among them is also such which work on batteries and can be used for the rescue and cargo purposes.
To us many requests from Great Britain for a possibility of use of devices for fire extinguishing, but not just washing of buildings arrive. After major fire in Grenfell Tower in London there was a set of calls from people who asked whether it is possible to use drones to stop it — reported in Aerones. |
Founders of the company, Dainis Kruze and Janis Putrams hope to increase the capacity of devices due to use of technology 5G. With its help data processing rate will increase and the quality of video will improve. The drone can be managed sitting at office at a great distance and receiving video of high definition without delays.[1][2]
