On November 25, 2018 an opportunity to pay taxes by means of cryptocurrency knew of emergence in the USA. The first the new technology was implemented by the State of Ohio.
According to the The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) newspaper, at first only the companies will be able to use bitcoins in tax payments, and then this opportunity will be had also by individuals.
The organizations registered in Ohio and persons interested to take part in the new program, should visit the website OhioCrypto.com. Cryptocurrency payments are processed by BitPay service which converts bitcoins into dollars.
It is noted that the companies can apply cryptocurrency to payment of various taxes, including for workers and sale of cigarettes.[1]
The author of such idea, according to WSJ, is the treasurer of Ohio Josh Mandel who began to show interest in bitcoin several years prior to project implementation.

Mundell also noted that the interest for payment of taxes cryptocurrency was shown by a set of the companies. He hoped that this initiative will remain after the termination of validity period of its powers at the end of January, 2019 and will strengthen the status Ohio as one of the most developed regions in technologies in the USA.
According to the head of Coin Center Gerry Brito, acceptance of bitcoin as means for taxation will become a signal to use of cryptocurrency by everyone — not only criminals, but also authorities.
Before in different American states, including Arizona and Georgia, initiated the bills devoted to payment of taxes by means of cryptocurrency. However by the end of November, 2018 only Ohio was succeeded to realize such idea.
