Scenaria View (KT-scanner)

2018: Announcement

On November 25, 2018 Hitachi Healthcare showed the new 64-and 128-slice Scenaria View KT-scanner at the RSNA 2018 exhibition in Chicago.

The new scanner is equipped with technology of decrease in a dose of radiation and is characterized by the new design of open space allowing to place in more massive patients. Scenaria View includes a tunnel with a diameter of 80 cm, the instrument of side shift up to 10 cm and the generator of 84 kW thanks to what the new scanner is ideal for departments with high workload. According to firm, a system can be applied to a broad spectrum of clinical indications.

The producer affirms that design features of Scenaria View allow the patient to feel more comfortably during inspection. At the same time technologies of decrease in a dose and a wide choice of options of inspection meet individual needs of doctors-clinical physicians and specialists of KT. Usually decrease in a dose when scanning leads to emergence of noise and decrease in picture contrast, but the Scenaria View scanner is equipped with the Intelli IPV technology of new generation developed by Hitachi and which is not requiring the additional hardware or special image processing. Even at a high speed of low-dose scanning the new technology allows to save image quality and improves permission of low-contrast pictures.

Besides, Scenaria View allows to optimize workflow and to accelerate scanning. The AutoPose technology (automatic adjustment of range of scanning) improves reproducibility of inspections and reduces setup time. The maximum noise cancellation at the minimum costs is reached due to improvement of processing speed of images, and in general operating time is reduced thanks to the automatic analysis and technologies of transfer of images.

As of the end of November, 2018 of Scenaria View CT did not go on sale yet. When it occurs, the producer does not specify.^[1]
