2018: Announcement of Magnetom Altea

On November 25, 2018 Siemens Healthineers was provided by Magnetom Altea, the new 1.5T MRT-scanner with a wide tunnel (70 cm) which uses the BioMatrix technology considering anatomic distinctions of patients, and the new Turbo Suite application capable by half to cut scanning time. The scanner is also equipped with the new information and entertaining environment which visually expands a tunnel.

The BioMatrix technology is developed by Siemens Healthiners and intended for assessment of physiological and anatomic distinctions of patients that provides the personalized approach to MR-scanning and allows to avoid intersession variability. The BioMatrix technology includes the Select&GO interface which uses artificial intelligence for performance improvement, eliminating need of anatomic orientation and allowing patients to find the necessary provision quicker. The automated Tim 4G and Dot programs (Day Optimizing Throughput) also allow to accelerate inspection in some cases.

Magnetom Altea MRT-scanner

The provided MRT-device has noise reduction function and also is equipped with new technology of acceleration Turbo Suite which can reduce time of normal inspection for 50% without prejudice to image quality. Besides, the Siemens Healthiners company submitted the new information and entertaining Innovision system which can be built in the scanner at the request of the client. She allows patients to watch movies or information videos during scanning, including on strimingovy service Netflix and also can turn the screen into a mirror, visually increasing available space.

Siemens Healthiners expects to get permission of regulators in short terms and to begin sales of the new scanner with spring of 2019.^[1]
