AG Team applied technologies of the analysis Big Data to job evaluation of the sports car

According to November 27, 2018 in a summer season of 2018 the racing AG Team command applied technologies of the analysis of Big Data to assessment of braking, acceleration and operation of the engine of the sports car taking into account actions of pilots. In result and according to the results of a season of 2018, AG Team becomes the Russian team which during the season won three titles from nine possible in the autosports championships of Russia.

Sports car

Big Data and DataScience are applied in a top class of an auto racing – F1. There on the basis of the analysis data types of tires and also time frames for Pit stop are selected.

In such rapid races as the Championship and the Russian Cup on ring races (SMP RSKG) and in particular in the class "National" where the number of sensors in the car 10 times less than in F1, and telemetry it is possible to assemble only after arrival – opportunities for data analysis are strongly limited.

The command did not find special solutions on data analysis which could be applied in these conditions. Therefore, together with the partner of the ICL command System technologies (ICL ST) also developed own solution.

Applying to the analysis mathematical models based on an artificial neural network, specialists of ICL ST together with engineers of a command reveal downward trends of power of engines of sports cars and decrypt them in the potential reasons. Joint work allows a command not just in time to replace parts or nodes of the machine, but also to provide competitive advantage on any tracks.

For November, 2018 analysts and specialists of ICL ST develop the special application allowing to carry out the analysis in field conditions at trainings and exit competitions. Testing of this application is planned by a command for a winter season of 2019.
