The Transit service gives an opportunity to exchange with each other and also with separate structural divisions of NSD electronic documents through EDMS NSD.

2019: The first results of work of Transit 2.0

The national settlement depositary summed up on March 21, 2019 the first results of start of Transit platform 2.0.

Transit 2.0 is the system for automatic exchange of financial messages and other documents between corporations and banks developed by NSD. The platform was started in 2018, the first transaction which was performed by Alfa-Bank and Dixy Group took place in December, 2018.

Vladimir Kozinets, the President of Association of corporate treasurers, emphasized that he sees high potential of development of Transit project 2.0, first of all, for corporations. A system gives ample opportunities for players of the market, especially for holdings with branched structure of payments, a large number of checking accounts and legal entities. According to the representative of association, to clients to interact with banks on the unified channels more simply, more conveniently and the cheapest way.

The value of any platform depends on a circle of participants, it increases at its expansion. For March, 2019 users of the platform are pilot clients, it would be desirable to see by the end of the year that they work already in an operating mode. Until the end of the current year we plan connection about 20 participants — Alexander Nam, the director of technology services of NSD emphasized.

As of March 21 in Transit system 2.0 ruble payments are possible. As the next stage in the road map of the project completion of currency transactions, term — the second quarter 2019 is designated.

2018

Transit 2.0

Transit 2.0 is the updated system for exchange of financial messages between corporations and banks developed by NSD on the basis of the previous version — Transit. Still only professional participants of security market exchanging electronic documents with each other in the course of depository activity and carrying out monetary calculations were its main users. Transit 2.0 considerably expands the list and possibilities of users: now corporations and banks for automatic exchange of payment and other documents, including messages in the international ISO 20022 format can use a system.

Description of the Transit service

The participants of e-document flow of NSD who signed with NSD functional agreements on receiving different services (depository, clearing, repository, settlement and/or services in ensuring corporate actions) can use service of transit as the providing service. Those Participants of EDMS NSD for whom the service of ensuring transit of ED through EDMS NSD is only in addition to the agreement on exchange of electronic documents sign with NSD the Service provision agreement on ensuring transit of electronic documents and for them this service is provided on a paid basis.

For mutual recognition of the electronic signature at exchange of documents in electronic form through EDMS NSD Uchastniki e-document flow NSD can join the Usage agreement of the electronic signature at exchange of documents in electronic form through EDMS NSD.

The admissible size is one Packet of Transit Electronic Documents (PTED) — no more than 15 MB. For PTED supporting TEDIK and also for all PTED supporting TED a sender or the final receiver of which is the division of NSD, the size of the sent (received) Packet of Transit Electronic Documents from NSD is not limited and defined only by capacity and/or settings of mail servers of the sender and receiver.

Transit of electronic documents through EDMS NSD is provided only at a term of use with the sender and the receiver of the CIPF identical type (or the CIPF only certified, or only not certified by a CIPF).

The NSD at the same time has the right according to item 3.7.3. Rules of electronic interaction (Annex No. 1 to Rules e-document flows) to refuse to the Participant use of opportunities of EDMS NSD for receiving from other Participant and/or sending to other Participant of electronic documents.

At transit of electronic documents by the party sender the scheme with "an open envelope" or the scheme with "the closed envelope" can be used.

When using the scheme with "an open envelope" the transferred electronic documents are not ciphered. Only the Packet of transit electronic documents is exposed to encoding using public keys of enciphering of NSD. When using the scheme with "an open envelope" the transferred electronic documents can be decrypted by NSD that allows NSD to control structure (a format, the specification) the transferred files and guarantees to the receiver receiving correct on structure (a format, the specification) of the document.

When using the scheme with "the closed envelope" the sent electronic documents after formation are ciphered using public keys of enciphering of the receiver, and then the Packet of transit electronic documents is ciphered using public keys of enciphering of NSD. Such scheme does not allow to get an information access from NSD.
