The Tomsk company "Mechatronics Missile defence" announced on December 4, 2018 creation of the intelligent controller of the drive of a steering rack for unmanned vehicles on the basis of own development — a universal servo controller of AC-Servo-200.

Mechatronics Missile defense together with partners works on creation of the pilotless minibus which consists of domestic and foreign component parts. The intelligent controller made by residents of Tomsk allows to exercise control not only one rail, but also is synchronized if necessary with the controller of the second rail, emphasized in the company.

It is the electric drive which will manage steering mechanisms in the car, to turn wheels — the director of the company Mechatronics Missile defense Nikolay Gusev explained. — The leading drive receives a task from chassis control block. At working off of turn of front wheels the controller at the same time creates a trajectory for the slave drive — turn of a steering rack of back wheels. Depending on speed, synchronization is made to provide an optimal trajectory of the movement of the UAV on turns.

Basis of development was the universal servo controller of AC-Servo-200 from Mechatronics Missile defense which provides control of the most different electric motors and easily adapts to the user's tasks at the level not only of parameters, but also algorithms. For ensuring management of different types of domestic and foreign engines the servo controller maintains compatibility with feedback sensors. A system has two levels of protection: at the hardware and programming layer.
