DR 800 (system of roentgenoscopy)

2018: Announcement

At the beginning of December, 2018 the Agfa HealthCare company showed the new tool for digital visualization of DR 800 intended for carrying out roentgenography and a flyuoroskopiya.

DR 800 is intended for visualization at different intervention researches. It is supported by upgraded version of the MUSICA platform which provides the high definition and picture contrast, distributing bones, bodies and soft fabrics at the different levels on the relation to each other, including at patients with obesity.

DR 800 got approval of regulatory bodies in April, 2018 and went on sale in December: a system can be ordered in several options – for fastening on a ceiling or with a rack. The tool can be placed on small space and be used for patients who cannot be lifted from a stretcher or wheelchairs. The device can be used for inspection of both children, and adults up to 300 kg and is equipped with technologies of decrease in a dose. Both the static, and dynamic images received by DR 800 are processed automatically in real time that allows to check contrast and image resolution effectively.

Additional functions of the device and the platform include automatic positioning, shorter set-up time of the patient, a possibility of carrying out several inspections in one room, a possibility of remote access and smooth movement of patients for minimization of loading at traumatic damages.

Implementation of Dynamic MUSICA Imaging increased quality of the fluoroscopic image: Software suppresses noise, increases brightness and stabilizes contrast. Better images can also be received thanks to technology of automatic check of accuracy of images. Agfa works on use of MUSICA technology for autorotation of images.^[1]
