Mail.Ru the Cloud for charitable foundations

2018: Project startup

On December 7, 2018 diggings Mail.Ru Group reported that Mail.Ru Cloud Solutions and the Good of Mail.Ru service announced a project startup "A cloud for charitable foundations" thanks to which reliable non-profit organizations will be able to receive free of charge resources of a cloud platform of MCS (Mail.Ru Cloud Solutions).

According to the company, the initiative purpose — to save funds from the routine and expenses connected with purchase and service of physical IT infrastructure. Free access to the cloud MCS resources will allow to direct a part of administrative expenses to more relevant needs. Besides, simplicity of infrastructure management considerably will release time of staff of funds and will allow to increase efficiency of primary activity of funds.

For December, 2018 cloud IT infrastructure will allow to unroll own website store and to distribute the large volume data (photos, documents, video files), to develop in a cloud CRM- a system or applications 1C. The staff of funds will get quick access to services and data from any device that is especially important for harmonious work of geographically distributed commands. In addition, the staff of funds will be able to work together on the general projects in a cloud irrespective of the location.

For participation in the project of NPO it is necessary to fill out the request and to undergo additional testing of the Good of Mail.Ru service which for December, 2018 can take up to 2 months. If charitable organization needs more powerful cloud resources, their providing will be discussed in an individual order. Within the project, cloud infrastructure was already received by search and rescue group "Lisa Alert".

Thanks to the provided cloud storage of Mail.Ru Cloud Solutions we had an opportunity to store all required materials ordered and in one place. For December, 2018 each fund participating in the project will free of charge receive:

• Virtual machines (4 vCPU, RAM 32 GB, 1 TB, Ubuntu);
• Cloud storage up to 500 GB;
• Communication channel up to 1 Gbps with an unlimited volume of traffic;
• 5 selected IP addresses;
• SLA of 99.95% (availability of the selected resources in 99.95% of time);
• Help of specialists of the platform in system configuration and planning of the necessary capacities;
• The training materials and the round-the-clock technical support.
