2018: Issue of MEK-215

On December 11, 2018, the Russian Octava plant (part of the Rostec State Corporation) announced the launch of a modification of the electret capacitor microphone for a computer and conference call developed in 2018. The presented model is named MEK-215.

The product is based on the Octava electret microphone MKE-214, which is used for operational dispatch and conference calls. The modified version of the Octava is characterized by an improved analog-to-digital conversion scheme.

The microphone in a strong metal case is light (its weight does not exceed 350 grams), easy to operate and has high functionality: it can be used with a computer, for conference or communication with an operator. The Octava model of the MKE-215 can be supplied in a Jack 3.5 or USB connector.
