2018: A penalty to employees for purchase of iPhone — the sign of support of Huawei

As a sign of support of Huawei which top manager was delayed in Canada at the request of U.S. authorities the compatriot and one of suppliers of the Chinese vendor introduced penalties for the employees for purchase of iPhone. On December 10, 2018 the The South China Morning Post edition reported about it.

The Menpad company located in Shenzhen and specializing in production of LCD displays notified personnel that if someone from workers in the next three years purchases any Apple smartphone, then they are waited by a penalty for the amount equivalent to the cost of the "apple" gadget.

If employees purchase for themselves any iPhone model, the company will impose on them a penalty in the amount of the 100 percent market price of the smartphone — it is said in the statement posted on the website of the Chinese vendor.

Besides, Menpad announced the termination of purchases of any other American products, including office equipment, computers and cars. Also the company is going to reward the employees purchasing smartphones Huawei or ZTE, providing them a 15 percent subsidy for purchase.

Providing a priority of semiconductor products of its subsidiary company HiSilicon will become one more measure designed to support Huawei.

At the same time the Chinese producer intends to increase sales of the USA for what promises to double the size of commission charges to distributors of the products who will manage to receive orders from the United States.

All listed measures took effect on December 7, 2018 and will act on an extent of three years, informed in Menpad.

According to a source, Menpad, most likely, became the first Chinese corporation which took specific actions for support of Huawei. On December 1, 2018 financial Meng Wanzhou of the director of the company it was arrested in Vancouver. The American authorities accuse her of violation of the anti-Iranian sanctions and require an extradition in the USA. The detainee asked to release her from custody on bail before consideration of a question of her extradition of the USA. The financial director specified that the state of her health worsened for the time spent under arrest. Her husband is ready to pay pledge in $11 million[1]
