ALP Group completed IT audit of Windows and Linux infrastructure for Polaris

On December 11, 2018 the ALP Group company announced completion of IT audit of Windows and Linux infrastructure for Polaris company (Polyaris Int LLC). According to the company, the carried-out analysis helped POLARIS to receive assessment of a status of the geographically distributed computer network, server hardware, storage systems, DBMS and a number of business services.

Specialists of ALP Group (further – service company) estimated a condition of the main services and IT services based on Microsoft Windows: Active Directory DNS 1C: Enterprise e-mail based on Microsoft Exchange, DBMS based on Microsoft SQL Server. And also services, services and resources based on OS Linux/Unix: the external DNS servers based on BIND, a row program routers and firewalls, virtualizations based on VMWare EXSi, boundary servers of filtering electronic mails based on PostFix, DBMS based on MySQL and PostgreSQL at once in several important directions: information security availability, sufficiency of computing resources.

Besides, the project team checked presence at the customer of plans for further development of the IC. And also completeness and relevance of IT regulations. Based on IT audit the staff of service company carried out risks assessment of the company regarding information technologies, offered opportunities for their minimization. Also prepared detailed "road map" on further development of IT infrastructure.

The analysis of a status of the IT services working based on OS Linux was executed by forces of Competence Center of ALP Group on import substitution and Open Source. "Double" employee competences of the Center allowed to estimate both technology stacks at once: work of IT solutions based on the proprietary software and the solution on the basis of an open program code. It gave the chance to customer company for December, 2018 to reduce IT audit terms by a third and not to lose at the same time as analytics.

Thanks to ALP Group we received expert opinion and the plan for development of IT infrastructure of the company for December, 2018. And, regular IT specialists had not to be distracted by this task because the company contractor of the project has completely independent approach to collecting and information analysis.
