Xelent: The equipment and dedicated servers in lease

The data center of Xelent began to render service in lease of the equipment and dedicated servers on the platform of the customer what became known on December 14, 2018. Placement of the equipment on own platforms will allow the companies to solve different IT tasks, saving from need of implementation of capital costs. The service is available in all regions of Russia.

Customers had an opportunity to rent the equipment and to place it on the platforms that is an alternative both to purchase of the hardware, and moving of IT infrastructure to a public cloud. Lease will allow business to implement a broad spectrum of tasks using modern servers and DWH.

The service will be demanded by a wide range of customers who prefer to store everything at themselves, and such in Russia still absolute majority. Now our customers have an opportunity to create the IT infrastructure which is geographically located in any point of the country without need to buy the server hardware. We choose the equipment corresponding to tasks for customers and also we can deliver practically any server or DWH on demand if the customer precisely knows the brand of the necessary equipment or the requirement of the software. In particular, customers of Xelent had an opportunity to construct on the leased equipment own private cloud without access to it for the third parties and to execute industry standards on security that is especially relevant for the medical organizations and other companies storing personal data. The service will also be demanded by the organizations which are carrying out works on exploration and production of minerals: they will be able to unroll IT infrastructure on the leased equipment in close proximity to work location.

Within Xelent preservice offers maintenance of the customer at all stages: from audit and design of infrastructure before administration. After the address of the customer specialists of Xelent book audit of infrastructure, select an optimal solution and create a test environment. Engineers leave to the customer, estimate the platform for placement of the hardware, make recommendations, install and bring the equipment into operation. After delivery of the equipment all process can take some hours.

Customers of service will be able to use the leased equipment for the most different purposes: from the high-loaded web hosting before deployment of the productive platform of storage and data processing. Xelent already carried out pilot installations of the leased equipment in several companies. In particular, the hardware for one of customers was installed on three platforms. Two of them separate 300 km, and the third is deleted from the first on 700 km. The equipment is connected among themselves by IP communication channels, VPN and L2 channels. The storage system is connected to servers according to the Fibre Channel protocol.
