2018: Implementation in China
In December, 2018 it became known that the Chinese school students force to wear a uniform with the built-in chips which allow to monitor children remotely.
According to the Epoch Times edition with reference to several Chinese media, a "smart" uniform became obligatory for more than 10 schools in the Province of Guizhou and next Guangxi Zhuang the autonomous area. The director of one of such educational institutions Lin Zongwu told journalists that the school uniform allocated with electronics is useful not only to position fix of the pupil not to allow absences of lessons. Such clothes will also warn the teacher and parents if the child falls asleep directly on occupation. Besides, it allows to keep account of the non-cash purchases made by the pupil in school shops, and parents can set to the children an expense limit.
But also it is not all. The "smart" form for school students is connected to the base of images using a sensing technology of persons to prevent pupils to change clothes or different ways to mislead a monitoring system.
Lin Tsongvu says that using this form also tracking movements of children in nonlearning time is possible, but its school on began to activate this function. He also noted that introduction of a smart form led to sharp improvement of attendance of occupations.
Each copy of new clothes is equipped with two chips sewed in jacket shoulders. These chips are capable to maintain influence of temperatures to 150 °C and up to 500 cycles of washing, reported in the Guizhou Guanyu Technology company which created such chips.
Introduction of this uniform is a part of the policy of creation of "smart campuses" implemented within the 13th five-year plan (2016-2020) of the government of China. The purpose of this program — to turn the country into the world leader in the field of technologies.[1]
