The Stroganovsky academy together with Dassault Systèmes will train the personnel in the field of engineering and industrial design

On January 14, 2019 the Dassault Systèmes company together with MSAIAA of S.G. Stroganov announced the beginning of cooperation with the purpose of development of educational programs and increase in level of training of engineers and industrial designers.

According to the company, the memorandum of cooperation was signed by Lev Donkovtsev, the head on work with partners in Russia and the CIS, Dassault Systèmes, and Alexander Kirinyuk, the vice rector for study and strategic development of educational activity of MSAIAA of S.G. Stroganov. The parties agreed to combine efforts for implementation of modern digital technologies of design in educational process and also to work jointly in the field of development of competences of students and teachers of academy.

At the initial stage cooperation will affect Industrial dizayn departments, "Design of means transport" and also "Environmental design". From initial rates students will be able to study work in to automated design engineering system CATIA Dassault Systèmes company, purchasing practical skills of interaction with hi-tech software throughout all training in academy. One of aspects of partnership also assumes collaboration in advanced training of teachers and creation of the methodical materials meeting the modern world requirements to training of industrial designers.

We highly appreciate support of Dassault Systèmes company in providing students and teachers by reliable base in the form of the advanced technology means and are convinced that partnership will have significant effect on upgrade of educational processes in academy. Besides, we calculate that, thanks to an opportunity to give to pupils a wide range of possibilities of training 3D - to modeling on the software applied in design offices of the whole world, the interest of employers in our graduates considerably will increase. The memorandum assumes cooperation increase in a number of the directions in the future, including creation based on Stroganovsky academy of an engineering class for advanced training of engineers. In particular, they will be able to study more effective interaction with designers and design modules in the software and was able to turn the most difficult sketches into high quality products.

The hi-tech software connecting engineering and design components of process of creation of a product – CATIA, allows both the designer, and the designer to work in a uniform engineering tree. In this sense the designer receives the tool for formation of a surface, and the designer – for creation of constructional elements. As to the teacher and at the same time the head of commercial enterprise to me market demands of work both to graduates, and to the specialists who already have some experience are well-known. The ability to work based on advanced technologies of design becomes absolute necessity even for those who only begin the career way in industrial design.
