2019: Beginning of sales

At the end of January, 2019 sales of the robotic surgical platform for prosthetics of a knee joint of Rosa Knee of production of Zimmer Biomet company began.

The Rosa Knee system includes instruments of three-dimensional preoperative planning and assessment of intraoperative data in real time. It allows the surgeon to study anatomic arrangement of soft fabrics and bones and to increase section accuracy and also saves from need of assistance in transaction time that reduces costs of hospital.

According to representatives of the company, combination of skills and experience of the surgeon with robotic Rosa Knee technologies can increase the accuracy and coordination of transaction and consequently, and satisfaction of patients, clinical results and efficiency. The Rosa Knee platform performs functions of the assistant to the surgeon who gives him tools and supplies with necessary data in real time. At the same time, as the surgeons using the new platform during clinical trials note, it allows not to lose feeling of natural control over transaction at physical contact with fabrics.

Zimmer Biomet explained that the equipment is supplied with own protocol of visualization X-Atlas which provides preoperative roentgenography for creation of a 3D model and refining of anatomic arrangement of a bone of the patient. Preoperative planning and permanent receipt of information on extremity anatomy during intervention allow the surgeon to personalize the made decisions.

The head of group of orthopedic tools Ivan Tornos noted that the Rosa Knee platform will allow to use effectively robotic achievements of the company with implants of Zimmer Biomet for a knee joint.[1]
