Microsoft Forms   — Office 365 entering a packet the tool using which it is possible to create the configured tests, polls, questionnaires, registration forms , etc.

In Microsoft Forms it is possible to organize joint work of several users over structure and the model of tests and forms. When the user shares the test or a form for joint work, the special reference is created. Having passed on it, colleagues can browse the created form or the test and to make changes to structure and a design. All participants who got access to the test or a form can browse, edit and delete answers also. Besides, they can share the test or a form with other users, sending them the link for joint work.

The Microsoft Forms service can use from any browser. Functions of prompt replies and formation of automatic charts allow to understand easier and quicker data.

History

2019: Forms Pro exit for corporate clients

At the beginning of July, 2019 Microsoft released in a public access the tool for creation of polls, tests and the analysis of opinions. It is about the Forms Pro service addressed to business clients. Its preliminary version was submitted in March, 2019.

This corporate tool for polls allows the organizations to collect responses about a common ground with clients using polls, control checks and vote, to compare responses with business operations and to receive effective outputs from the integrated data — the corporate vice president of the Microsoft Business Applications & Industry direction Alysa Taylor noted.

The producer lists the following main features of Microsoft Forms Pro:

• Simplicity of installation and setup;
• Start of polls around specific events;
• Collecting of responses on channels;
• Implementation of polls in applications, websites and mobile devices;
• Automatic detection of an emotional status of collective;
• The analysis of responses for obtaining effective data;
• Deep integration with Dynamics 365, Office 365 and Microsoft Power Platform.

Microsoft Forms Pro is available within the license Dynamics 365 Enterprise. By default service allows to display up to 2 thousand answers to questions counting on one client. In need of the company can expand this functionality at additional expense.

Microsoft Forms Pro differs from the normal version of Forms in close integration with the corporate Microsoft platform.  For example, the companies can send to the clients the automatic questionnaires based on certain events. Besides, the professional version is integrated with Power BI thanks to what users can create detailed reports on the basis of data which are obtained on survey results.^[1]

2019: Access for state customers

At the end of January, 2019 Microsoft announced availability of the Forms tool in the Office 365 rate for public institutions

Service is available to such users by default. Besides, it can be started through the Government Community Cloud (GCC) and GCC High environments.

Microsoft released service of polls Forms for state customers

Initially only educational institutions could use Microsoft Forms. By the end of January, 2019 service has more than 3 million subscribers among the universities, schools and other educational institutions. In 2018 the tool was open for all commercial clients of Microsoft Office 365 .

By the end of January, 2019 service is available to subscribers of Office 365 Business Essentials, Office 365 Business Premium and also Office 365 Enterprise E1, E3 and E5. Besides, service can use on the Office 365 Enterprise E4 rate which was purchased before its closing.^[2]
