CD Horizon Sextant Spinal System is intended for the help in providing an immobilization and stabilization of vertebral segments as addition to a spondilodez of chest, lumbar, and/or sacral departments of a backbone.

According to information for February, 2019 CD Horizon Sextant Spinal System consists of different in a form and the sizes of rods, hooks, screws, cross beams of CROSSLINK, dies and connectors which can be combined with components of other systems of Medtronic; all elements of a system can be fixed strictly among themselves and be combined in different configurations depending on a specific clinical situation.

CD HORIZON Spinal System with or without CD HORIZON SEXTANT of tools is intended for back fixing of a backbone — chest, lumbar, sacral departments — at the following indications:

  • the degenerative defeats of disks (defined as pain in a waist of diskogenny genesis with a degeneration of the disk confirmed with the anamnesis and additional methods of researches);
  • spondilolistez;
  • injury (fracture or dislocation);
  • stenosis of the vertebral channel;
  • deformations (scoliosis, kifoz and/or lordoz);
  • tumoral defeats; false joint;
  • insolvent previous spondilodez.

The CD HORIZON installation is ventrolateralno applied according to the same indications. Hooks are used only at dorsalny access. Except for a degenerative disease of a disk, the rods CD LEGACY HORIZON of 3.5 mm and the rods CD HORIZON Spinal System PEEK and the related components can be used for above-mentioned indications at patients with a mature skeleton. CD HORIZON SPIRE a plate is a back, not pedikulyarny implant for additional fixing in chest and lumbar departments of a backbone (T1-S1). A system is intended for fixing to awned shoots for the purpose of achievement of an additional spondilodez at the following indications: a degenerative disease of a disk (as it is earlier defined); spondilolistez, injury; and/or tumor. If necessary to increase fixing extent by cervical department, CD HORIZON rods can be connected via special connectors with the system of VERTEX.[1]
