2019: Charges of sale of drugs
On February 13, 2019 the former CEO of Broadcom company Henry Nicholas was accused of illegal sale of drugs by prosecutor's office of Las Vegas.
Nicholas and his companion Ashley Christine Fargo were arrested in August, 2018 in prestigious casino of Las Vegas after the police detected a set of different drugs in their number. As justification for a search the behavior of the companion of Nicholas who was found with signs of overdose served.
Nicholas told a security service of hotel that the nitrous oxide also known as a dental gas which they with Fargo used "for relaxation" became the reason of overdose. According to the message of police, as a result of a search in number heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy and the narcotic mushrooms containing a hallucinogenic psilocybin were also detected. In February, 2019 criminal case was opened — according to the investigation, Nicholas and his accomplice opened five points of drug traffic and two points of their storage.
Despite circumstances of arrest, Nicholas's protection is not going to recede. His lawyer notes that charges have no actual justification, and rests on the fact that doctor Nicholas is a philanthropist, the defender of the rights of the victims, the scientist and the cofounder of the global company. Nicholas's protection is going to submit the petition for a deviation of charges for a number of reasons, including because of failure of evidence.
At the same time Nicholas not for the first time faces charges of drug traffic. For the first time he was arrested in California in 2008. These charges were dismissed two years as the judge detected defects in work of prosecutor's office later and was forced to nullify the produced evidence.[1]
