On February 14, 2019 the Acer company provided Being Device Management (BDM), the platform of device management for system integrators and suppliers of managed services developed by Acer Cloud Technology. According to the developer, BDM will help to solve all problems in effective administration systems for constantly growing number of "smart" IoT-devices in the field of business.

Acer Cloud Technology combined efforts with suppliers of the "smart" systems Axiomtek, NEXCOM IBASE, Shuttle and AOPEN to create the multifunction platform of device management for the different industries, including retail trade, health care and transport the sphere. As reported in Acer Cloud Technology, the company together with partners is going to present the complete hardware-software solution which will help system integrators to cut down expenses and to increase performance using such functions as automatic initialization of software and remote troubleshooting.

According to the statement of the developer, with BDM system integrators and service providers will be able to manage far off any number of devices, using the cloud portal of centralized operation. In addition, the companies will be able to start and organize attached devices, to trace their status, to update software and to debug regardless of scales of the activity. The wide choice of the centralized services of control of cloud devices available on the BDM platform will help users to get rid of difficulties and additional costs connected with use of solutions based on several OS (for example, Windows, Android or Linux).

To create the universal and effective platform, when developing BDM both information, and operational technologies were used. The platform can be adapted to different scenarios of use of end devices, for example, for digital dashboards (Digital Signage), the systems of payment terminals, booths at the airports, etc., noted in Acer.

As reported in Acer, originally the company will focus on an output to the market of digital dashboards with the preset BDM platform which, according to the developer, will help to meet the growing demand of owners of retail networks and system integrators for solutions for control of these devices.
