Bot Chef (kitchen robot)

2019: Announcement

In the middle of February, 2019 the Samsung company presented at a The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show exhibition in Las Vegas the new kitchen Bot Chef robot who helps with cooking.

According to the producer, users can fix different kitchen accessories on a robotic hand of Bot Chef. The device is capable to cut products, to fill dishes with sauces and even to load recipes from the Internet. Samsung claims that Bot Chef can be the ideal solution for disabled users for whom the help in kitchen is necessary. The robotic hand has lidars and light sensors for orientation in space, and in the future it will be able to become a part of the "smart" house.

Samsung was not limited to demonstration of the robot cook on The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show. Except it, at an exhibition the company showed Samsung Robot Clean, the robot cleaner with the sensor of space recognition. Samsung Robot Clean announces the user the operating operation mode and task performance using smilies on the built-in screen. Also on an exhibition Chef Garden, the refrigerator in which clients can grow up a basil and small vegetables got. The software of the Chef Garden refrigerator allows to control humidity, temperature and lighting, supporting optimal conditions for cultivation of plants.

On an action the mobile robot for air purification under the name Samsung Bot Air was also shown. In conclusion of Samsung provided the robot who is intended for the help to elderly people with violations of balance and gait. The robot exoskeleton received the name GEMS - gait enhancing and motivating system, the system of increase in motivation and improvement of gait.

All these devices log in for the "smart" house under the name Samsung Bot.^[1]
