Completion of creation of Wi-fi network for 6300 departments

On November 18, 2019 Rostelecom announced completion of creation of a wireless local computer network on Wi-fi technology in 6300 departments of PJSC Sberbank.

Rostelecom organized the protected wireless network of Wi-fi in Sberbank branches through the whole country with support of authorization of users in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. The network is available as to clients to whom wireless Internet access, and is provided for employees for access to information resources of bank.

Rostelecom coped with very major problem — provided at offices of bank almost on all stranepodklyuchenia to the Internet for our clients, and for employees organized convenient and secure access to all internal services of bank. Thanks to it our clients, being in office, got access to online services of an ecosystem of Sberbank that will help them to learn and select for itself the most convenient methods of the solution of the tasks, told the head of VSP channel of Sberbank Vasily Palatkin

Sberbank imposed high requirements to the technology level of service and quality of its providing. Thanks to the developed telecommunication infrastructure, the largest federal Wi-fi platform and service examination Rostelecom has an opportunity to propose large-scale and special solutions for the corporate customers in any point of the country. The wireless internet is an integral part of life and communication. Owners of notebooks, tablets and smartphones need Internet connection in any place, and Wi-Fi becomes obligatory service at any enterprise of the service industry and business.

Summing up auction

On March 21, 2019 the Sberbank of Russia summed up the auction results at choice of the organization for rendering services of wireless communication in the divisions. The initial cost of the contract was 841.2 million rubles.^[1]

Sberbank will spend 760 million rubles for Wi-Fi in the departments

Sberbank assumed two options of holding the auction. Within the first it was going to determine winners by each of 12 announced lots (12 territorial banks). The second option provided one winner (the 13th lot) who would begin to provide services to all divisions of Sberbank at once.

As a result of consideration of requests the commission of bank selected the second option. Among four participants (Rostelecom, Communication, Russvyazyintegration, Light Port) the most advantageous price offer appeared at Rostelecom. It also became the winner of the tender. The total price of the agreement was 759.6 million rubles that for 81.6 million rubles below the initial cost of the contract. Other participants of an auction estimated the services much more expensively - from 812.6 to 838.6 million rubles.

The project provides wireless Internet access, to information resources and the organization of a wireless local computer network by means of Wi-fi network in the territory of divisions of bank. The agreement stipulates access rates, necessary for each division, – from 5 to 35 Mbps.

The perimeter of the project includes 12 territorial banks of Sberbank of Russia. The total cost includes the amount of monthly subscription fees for providing service within 24 months. In total there are 6301 divisions of bank, including 149 VIP-divisions which are carrying out work in a format of bonus service.

Sberbank held a similar auction by fall of 2016. Then the initial cost of the contract for the Wi-fi organization in divisions of bank was 895.7 million rubles. At the same time the auction consisted of 104 lots, 103 of which were played. The total sum of a procurement procedure made 676.3 million rubles.

To participation in an auction 163 companies were invited. 92 companies submitted applications and were allowed to participation. 83 companies took active part in a procurement procedure. According to the results of an auction 103 lots separated among themselves 17 participants. At the same time, their main part was won by Rostelecom company.
