BenchVue Lab Management and Control

BenchVue Lab Management and Control is the software for simplification of configuring, monitoring and tracking of laboratory devices and optimization of the general learning process.

2019: Announcement

On February 27, 2019 the Keysight Technologies company presented the solution BenchVue Lab Management and Control – the software for simplification of configuring, monitoring and tracking of laboratory devices and optimization of the general learning process.

According to the company, training using modern industrial instrumentations allows students to get surely to work in the different companies after obtaining the diploma about the termination of higher education institution. In the presence of tens of measuring stands, each of which is equipped with several devices, the teachers working in electrotechnical laboratories should spend a lot of time for manual adjustment of each stand, configuring and updating of microprogram providing all devices and also for monitoring of the laboratory control and measuring equipment in time to execute its calibration and repair.

With the Keysight BenchVue Lab software application teachers will be able to save time on setup and service of the laboratory control and measuring equipment and to pay more attention to training of students. It is provided due to centralized operation, data recording and automation that allows teachers to connect, configure and control easily all devices in laboratory. The intuitive interface excludes need of programming, simplifies remote control of Keysight devices, the analysis of results of measurements and development of automatic tests. BenchVue constructed on a powerful software platform, the solution BenchVue Lab uses its possibilities of collecting and data recording and reports generation to create a powerful tool of training for laboratories.

The solution BenchVue Lab is from applications of the administrator and client. The application of the administrator which is the main software application is installed on the PC of the administrator of laboratory and is used for the centralized control and management. The application of the client working on bench PCs provides connection of all devices at each stand.

BenchVue Lab from Keysight allows teachers:

• Optimize management of laboratory using the configured desktop by means of management of widgets, and the administrator can configure settings of measurements on all laboratory devices from the PC.
• Simplify inventory of devices on the basis of automatic update of the list of devices taking into account change of their configuration in laboratory.
• To jointly use desktop devices and the BenchVue application easily to execute remote monitoring and to provide the help to students in laboratory for training quality improvement. Students can easily manage devices, register data and screenshots and also to join automatically laboratory researches.
• It is easy to connect all laboratory devices, including Keysight devices and the equipment of other producers. Support more than five hundred Keysight instrumentations and devices of other companies compatible to the connection protocol VISA is provided.
