2019: Start of service

At the beginning of March, 2019 Google provided a new product — Google Hotels which is service for search and hotel booking. It should compete with Airbnb.

Advantage of a new solution as it is specified in the blog of Google, is the company which highly proved functionality of the search system. Google is used by the searcher to provide the personalized approach to clients.

For example, if the user already selected a destination point and looks for the suitable place of residence, Google Hotels marks the prices of available options as high, typical or low in comparison with those hotels where the traveler stops usually. The website also informs users on fast price increase.

In March, 2019 Google started the competitor of Airbnb

The website also facilitates search of hotels using the new Offers filter. This filter uses machine learning for selection of Google partner hotels which are ready to make more advantageous offer and to reduce the cost of living in comparison with the normal prices of this hotel or in comparison with nearby competitors.

Users can also browse the main characteristics of hotel — for example, existence of the pool, assessment of users or popularity among families travelers. Additional pages are supplied with the expanded description, photos and reviews created using machine learning.

In addition to these Google Hotels functions also has an option of the filter of the prices thanks to which users can set the price caps and to see only those destination points which will be able to visit at the set range of costs.

The option of armoring is combined with already available portfolio of tourist Google services. So, Google Flights approves several years the new ideas and options of search of suitable runs, and Google Maps will lay a route to hotel and interesting sights.[1]
