2019: Collecting of biometric data in 270 bank departments is organized

On March 18, 209 VTB announced ensuring data collection of clients within a Single biometric system in 270 departments in all regions of presence of bank in Russia. Until the end of 2019 the necessary equipment will equip all network VTB. Read more here.

2018: System implementation of collecting of biometric data

On August 8, 2018 it became known that the command of the Innovation center "AiTeco" by request of VTB bank developed and implemented the system of collecting of biometric data — images of the person and a voice mold — for their subsequent transfer to a Single biometric system which was started at the initiative of the Central Bank and the Ministry of digital development, communication and communications of the Russian Federation. The platform allows the registered users to make remotely banking activities without the obligatory appeal to office of credit institution or to her representative.

Since July 1, 2018 VTB, according to the Federal law of 12/31/2017 NQ482-FZ, began collecting of biometric these clients of bank who in the future will have an opportunity to open accounts and deposits using remote identification on a biometric template. The technology is available at offices of Moscow and St. Petersburg, until the end of 2018 the necessary equipment will provide 200 retail bank departments through the whole country, and completely the network will be ready in the 2019th.

Data collection for the acting bank clients within several minutes allows to pass the developed decision. It conforms to all requirements for collecting and transfer of biometric information, and the involved modern algorithms and technologies ensure the necessary level of accuracy, safety and confidentiality. The service is free and available — on condition of voluntary consent — to all clients registered on the portal of public services.
