On March 18, 2019 IBM announced start global payment a blockchain network of Blockchain World Wire. She processes payments in real time and allows the companies to save at commission of international transfers.

IBM Blockchain World Wire  supports 47 digital currencies tied to traditional currencies of more than 50 countries. The network started in 72 states (by March 19, 2019), has no bank intermediary therefore its users will be able not to pay the commissions. Estimate at IBM that the cost of transactions can fall more than half thanks to new technology.

We created the payment network of new type intended for acceleration of money transfers and the international payments for the purpose of simplification of process of movement of money in the countries which need it most of all. By creation of network in which financial institutions can maintain a large number of different digital assets we intend to stimulate innovations and to increase financial availability around the world, ‑ the area manager IBM Blockchain  Marie Wieck said.
