2019: Start of services

In March, 2019 JD.com provided the new JD iCity brand under which the company began to offer complex services in development of systems for the "smart" cities.

JD iCity collects and analyzes data generated from 300 million users of the JD.com platform and capable to help the authorities to create own social ratings, infrastructure of management of traffic using artificial intelligence and also other "smart" transport services.

Chinese offered services of construction of the turnkey "smart" cities

JD iCity executes the first project in the city district of Cuqian (Province of Jiangsu, China). There the system of credit rating on the basis of social activity of the population is created. The AI algorithm works not on a single system, and treats each case apart and   on the basis of the available data estimates reliability of the person.

For example, if the citizen decided to rent the bicycle, then  the technology  will not consider real estate holding. But this factor will be one of main in the request for the credit.

According to the South China Morning Post edition with reference to the vice president of JD.com Zheng Yu (Zheng Yu), JD iCity will be able to improve everyday life of city dwellers and to increase effective management of the city.

According to the top manager of the company, social ratings are capable to warn the authorities about possible violations of the law by the local companies and to check reliability of potential investors.

In addition to Cuqian, JD.com cooperates with administrations of the cities in Chengdu and Changsha in projects of social rating. Besides, JD.com proposes additional intelligent city solutions, such as "smart" systems of economy of energy and organization of the parking. Within JD iCity the Chinese Internet giant as he claims, offers services for the turnkey "smart" cities.[1]
