Huawei started construction of 5G network at the Shanghai railway station of Hongqiao

On March 25, 2019 the Huawei company announced the beginning of construction of 5G network at the Shanghai railway station of Hongqiao. It is expected that complete covering 5G will become possible in the station by the end of 2019 when passengers are able to use different network services possible in 5G network. Also in February, 2019 Huawei and China Mobile Shanghai mobile operator showed equipment 5G DIS (digital indoor system) providing the peak speed of connection to the Internet in 1.2 Gbps.

Elements of system 5G DIS HUAWEI have the small sizes and are established under a ceiling in premises. The coverage of each such element 5G DIS makes about 25-30 m (on radius), thus, about 1000 DIS devices are necessary for a covering of all station. In a zone of public catering of the HUAWEI station installed several transmitters of 5G network opportunities creating WiFi-network for demonstration. Scenarios of its use can be the most different: video calls in format 4K, a multichannel video conferencing of high definition for bigger convenience of passengers, etc.
