Ilya Zaychikov, Business companies even more often pass Haulmont from foreign products to the Russian

Ilya Zaychikov: Last year a system actively developed as a product — mobile application and the new version of EDMS "Thesis" 4.3 are released. Also we brought Thesis to the world market. In this direction we are in the beginning of a long way now, a lot more work is necessary, however at the end of 2018 it is already possible to speak about the first progress, the first big customers and the implemented projects. The Russian market at the moment remains priority for a product, and we continue to strengthen positions on it. Besides, year was remembered by start of new large projects and development of a system in the acting clients.

Ilya Zaychikov: Since minor release which is released to EDMS "Thesis" 4.3, to customers well mobile application for iOS and Android. In version 4.3 its functionality extended: support of the electronic signature of Crypto Pro in mobile application is implemented, the input using TouchID is added.

A number of important innovations of EDMS "Thesis" 4.3 concerns legally significant document flow and exchange of documents with partners. First, the ability to integrate with the system of exchange of the legally significant documents "Diadoc" appeared. Support of the protocol of the electronic signature of Crypto Pro of GOST 34.10-2012 is also implemented. Since 2019 it is the only standard existing in Russia.

Besides, the feature for accomplishment of action by the button in the automatic notification which comes from EDMS "Thesis" to e-mail is added. Thus, it is possible to send back the document for revision, to approve or approve without transition to a system.

Support is implemented Oracle DBMS, PostgreSQL 10 as well as Tomcat 8 — modern versions DBMS and the application server which we supported and earlier.

In addition to listed, the set of other innovations directed to convenience of users is added to EDMS "Thesis" 4.3.

Ilya Zaychikov: In the first year of promotion of EDMS "Thesis" in the world market we achieved a certain progress. They show that a system is competitive in comparison with foreign products and meets needs of foreign customers.

In 2018 the first implementation project of EDMS "Thesis" in the USA is implemented. A system is brought into operation in TAB Bank. This project assumed automation of a number of unique processes: processings of customer appeals of bank, maintenance of acquisition loans of the equipment, money transfer between banks. Users highly appreciated EDMS "Thesis", a system will develop in TAB Bank further.

Also the implementation project in Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, one of the largest Banks of China which in 2018 also took the 70th place in top-2000 the largest public companies Forbes started.

One more important event — participation in the foreign AIIM Forum exhibition, the first for a product. This action devoted to corporate information systems which annually takes place in London and brings together visitors from the whole Europe. For us the forum is an opportunity to know the European market better and to communicate personally to potential customers. As a result the action took place perfectly, EDMS "Thesis" attracted a keen interest.

EDMS "Thesis" already takes strong positions in the CIS. To become stronger even more in this market in 2018 we opened representation in Kazakhstan. Besides, in 2018 system implementation projects in large banks of Kyrgyzstan, the Belarusian network of telecommunications, the Ust-Kamenogorsk thermal networks and other organizations from the CIS started.

Ilya Zaychikov: First of all, this year we strengthened promotion of EDMS "Thesis" in the Far East region and opened representation on sales in Vladivostok.

In general, the number of customers of EDMS "Thesis" surely grows. Several large-scale projects in government institutions started. The most significant of them — automation of work of the whole territorial subject of the federation — Governments of the Kaliningrad region. Besides, a system was purchased by several large Russian companies. Among them there is, in particular, a holding "Group eurocement", holding "BaselCement", banks TKB and ITB. Also cooperation with the Russian representative offices of the international companies, for example, Ehrmann and Essity began.

Ilya Zaychikov: Yes, there were several such projects, and the most significant of them — substitution of EMC Documentum, one of leaders of the world market of electronic document management.

For transition to new EDMS the customer had several reasons. First of all, EMC Documentum had no sufficient flexibility, and the customer needed to automate a number of unique business processes. Besides, the system interface was not really convenient for work of users. The customer, large holding, considered different products and as a result selected Thesis. Development was conducted on cascade methodology to start EDMS in complete functionality in all divisions of the customer at the same time. We carried out data migration from ECM Documentum, configured unique processes. Also the project assumed creation of jobs for several thousand users and the organization of legally significant document flow. Separately It should be noted that the customer intensively uses the module of comparison and recognition of documents and mobile application.

Ilya Zaychikov: In general, this trend extends more and more. The state which supports import substitution policy by legislative initiatives acts as a leader. However, according to us, business companies also even more often pass from foreign products to the Russian. For this purpose there are several reasons. First, unpredictability of a political and economic situation. Foreign products can fall under sanctions, producers can leave the Russian market, and the price can sharply grow because of rate fluctuations of currencies. Secondly, it is easier to come into contact with the Russian vendors, they can listen to customers at development of a product. Thirdly, in some classes softwares, including, in class EDMS, many Russian products on performance, functionality and other characteristics do not concede and even exceed foreign. At last, many vendors offer attractive actions for all customers who pass from the foreign systems. For example, at EDMS "Thesis" the considerable discount for the cost of the license when replacing the foreign solution applies.

Ilya Zaychikov: The majority of solutions, both Russian, and foreign, have similar functionality. At the same time from the technology point of view they can differ considerably. Because of it not all Russian products for 100% will be suitable for replacement of import. Many Russian systems are created based on Microsoft technologies. Their users all the same remain are tied to foreign technologies. Besides, Microsoft - the focused systems can have restrictions on compatibility. The customer should consider it when choosing OS, DBMS and other programs.

Alternative which we offer — the Thesis system created based on opened by Java technologies. It allows to enter EDMS in any IT ecosystem, the customer does not need to change the equipment or to buy new software. Java technology is provided by cross-platform, compatibility with different OS, DBMS and other products. Besides, for support and development of Java - the focused systems it is simple to find specialists as it is one of the most widespread programming languages.

Besides, the complexity can represent process of data migration. It is necessary to transfer the huge volume of documents which collected at customers for many years of use of a foreign system to new EDMS. This issue is resolved, and in many cases even without participation of vendor of the previous EDMS. There were projects when our specialists independently made unloading of documents from a foreign system in a required format.

Many customers use the customized EDMS, and in such cases all unique modifications need to be saved. At implementation of EDMS "Thesis" the customer loses nothing in respect of functionality as the flexibility of a system allows to automate individual business processes of the different organizations.

Single question — the organization of the process of transition to a new system. If is going to begin quicker work in new EDMS or it is difficult to formulate final requirements to the project, then it is better to conduct implementation on flexible methodology of Agile. If it is necessary to start new EDMS in complete functionality and in all divisions of the company at once, then the cascade methodology approaches more. Our command is ready to work on any of options, everything depends on the project and the customer's wishes.

In general, to users can be difficult to be rebuilt and get used to a new system. However the intuitive interface EDMS "Thesis", according to customers, promotes that users quickly learn to work in a system.

Ilya Zaychikov: We are going to put emphasis on upgrade of the interface and design of a system and also development of mobile application.

The most interesting to us a segment for promotion — large business. In 2019 we held stress testing of EDMS "Thesis" in the conditions of 20,000 simultaneous connections. A system showed high performance during these tests. Therefore we with confidence can tell that EDMS "Thesis" corresponds to needs of large customers.

One more important task for 2019 — year to continue active distribution of a system in public sector. The functionality of a system will also develop taking into account specifics of work of state structures.
