The department of the Smolensk region on information technologies was protected from web threats using Dozor Web Proxy

Department of the Smolensk region on information technologies solved a problem of the organization centralized protected access in Internet using several different mechanisms authentications of users and filtering of contents of information exchange. Implementation became technical solution proxy servers Dozor Web Proxy. On April 1, 2019 the company "Rostelecom-Solar" reported about it.

According to information for April, 2019 DIT of the Smolensk region performs maintaining the official Internet portal of Administration of the Smolensk region; formation of the state information resources of area; security of regional information and communication infrastructure, local state information resources, their protection, safety, integrity and reliability. In this regard for Department the organization of the centralized secure access of all structural divisions to the Internet has paramount value.

Earlier DIT of the Smolensk region had experience of use of different proxy servers from several producers which, however, not fully met requirements of the organization both for questions of data protection, and on the level of the maintained loading.

"In selection process of a web proxy we considered and tested several hosts of market solutions. Based on Dozor Web Proxy tested by us showed the highest performance, however demanded deep technical competences on setup of the solution for achievement of maximum efficiency of work". Further the Department is going to develop the project in the direction of customization of the solution under additional specialized requirements of the organization.
