Medtronic VenaSeal

The VenaSeal system of Medtronic company is intended for permanent complete closing of a gleam of the big hypodermic vein (BHV) and the related varicose and expanded veins with method of intra vascular pasting at treatment of varicose veins of veins.

For March, 2019 the VenaSeal system consists of a gun dispenser, a system for access, a catheter for introduction of glue, 5 ml of a bottle of glue, two syringes.

Features of a system

Description of a method

The procedure of pasting of veins the VenaSeal (Medtronic) system, a system for a tsianoakrilatny embolization of hypodermic veins (TsAE) — for March, 2019 the most modern and comfortable method of treatment of varicose veins using specially developed intravenous medical glue (tsianoakrilat) for closing of a gleam of a vessel. This innovation method excludes risk of injury of a nerve when closing trunks of big and small hypodermic veins and also the skin burns characteristic of thermal methods of occlusion. The procedure is carried out without tumestsentny (on the vein course) anesthesia that allows to avoid a large number of pricks.

The technique of an obliteration (pasting) of hypodermic veins medical glue at varicosity is an alternative of a thermal endovazalny obliteration of veins (EVLK, RChO). A basis of this technique is damage of an inside layer of a vein by medical glue (tsianoakrilaty) through the special catheter entered into a vein, leading to closing of a gleam of a vein not only with pasting of its walls, but also the subsequent inflammation and fibrosis. At the expense of it the vein is closed throughout influence, the pathological reflux of blood is eliminated. The procedure is carried out under local anesthesia only in the place of a puncture of a vein. Quality control of the procedure happens under ultrasonic navigation. In the subsequent, in 2-4 months, the processed vein turns into a soyedinitelnotkanny tyazh and disappears.

Preparation for the procedure

Before accomplishment of the procedure of pasting of hypodermic veins medical glue the patient needs to perform clinical examination, an ultrasonic angioskanirovaniye of trunk veins of an extremity, blood tests for an exception of contraindications to accomplishment of this procedure, forecasting possible, though extremely rare, complications (thrombophlebitis, a hyperpegmentation).
