On April 8, 2019 Viber began to sell phone numbers that users could make phone calls on house rates in several countries. The new service received the name Viber Local Number.

He allows to select the virtual phone number from the country of residence for automatic readdressing of calls and messages on the account in Viber. In that case even subscribers who have no Viber will be able to call and send to it Sms on "house" rates from any place in the world. Only Internet connection is necessary (mobile or WiFi-network).

Travelers can feel at home in any country, using local room for armoring of tables at restaurants, registration for excursions and sets of other services, says Viber.

By April 9, 2019 it is possible to get a number in Viber Local Number only in several countries, including the USA, Great Britain and Canada. In the near future, according to developers, the service will be available in a large number of the countries.

To use function, it is necessary to come into application controls and to click the line Viber Local Number. Then it is necessary to select the country and the area code on the basis of which the phone number will be offered.

The first 10 thousand users of service will be able to be connected to it at the special price of $1.99 a month. The normal rate makes $4.99 a month. The subscription can be cancelled at any time.

Viber Local Number is available in mobile applications of Viber to operating systems iOS and Android. On local number Viber it is possible to receive an unlimited number of calls and Sms.
